Hey Ian, i know one of the bouncers at Wire called Chris, he's a great guy and so is the manager!!! Don't hate the place cause of 1 bad experience where you didnt get in, if the rest of the time you went and had a good laugh, surely it deserves another chance?

Definitely one of Leeds's coolest nightclubs. Haven't been let down yet! Great service and fantastic music. Bouncers have improved over the course of the year.... 10/10.

Shocking, This place is a joke, dont get me wrong i have been a few times and its usually o.k, but this weekend i was turned away for no reason what so ever by some cocky bouncer. This place will never get my f*****g business ever again. alot of my friends go here and i will be letting them know of this. Word gets around of a place guarded by knobs where its overpriced and for what?Dont worry guys if you need a piss in town, piss on the wire's doorstep.
I am a great lover of indie music and on that night I thought the dj got it near enough spot on. However the amount of people there was not the best, about 10 people there- no exaggeration.
I absolutely love the wire it has everything you need, great music, cheap alcohol, nice looking guys and a really friendly atmosphere! The bar staff and bouncers are really friendly and your never waiting long at the bar.If indie music music is your thing then the wire is definately the place for you!!! My only complaint is that from my experience DJ Debstar appears very unfriendly towards the female crowd , and never plays mine or my friends requests, which is a shame. But don't let that put you off as in the wire you are always guaranteed to meet really friendly, unpretentious people who are out for a good night!!!

Looks like a seedy old boys club from the outside with it's hidden doorway that you'll make a play for five times before you actually open it (in fact it's entertainment enough just to watch people trying to get in!). Once inside you're greeted with more grottiness but some great indie tunes and friendly clubbers. Fun without the fuss, you might say

" Always wanted somewhere to go on a Sunday night, stumbled across this club playing Soul Music and loved it. Really nice friendly crowd, great music and a top way to finish off the weekend, dancing. "

" Me and my mates went down to the last one of these (October) at the weekend and it was just perfect for finishing off a large and messy weekend of clubbing. We love to get down and dirty with some proper tunage but get a bit frustrated at how trendy so many places are in Leeds - even some like Technique with good underground music. We could do with more nights like lessthanhuman playing decent underground music to unpretentious people who are into it. Although it wasn't rammed, the atmosphere was really good with a dancefloor lapping up Dan Moore's set and the resident after him. Will definitely be down for the next one - check it out if you want to keep the weekend going :)"

"Went on thursday - some good music and a good night. but went again on saturday - there were some very ignorant people (I really cant understand how people can walk into u and almost knock u over and then not even apologise for it - or queue jumping in the ladies when uv already left it til the last minute and have been queuing for ten) - music ranged from really good to 'what the hells this?' but maybe I just had a bad night and it was a one off as the thurs was ok. on a positive note- they have erdinger! yay."
